Agar is a small town in Sully County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 76 as of the 2010 census. Agar is a farm/ranch service center with a well-regarded golf course, Sutton Bay. Agar is unincorporated with a part-time government staff. It has an automotive service station with garage services, a U.S. Post Office, and a volunteer fire department.
